MO-SCHOOL-NURSE is an unmoderated discussion list of school nurses and school nurse managers, faculty in family/child/community health and school nursing, and Department of Health nurses involved with school health programs. It is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Division of Health and P.E. in conjunction with the Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet).

The purpose of MO-SCHOOL-NURSE is to:

• Promote the exchange of information among school nurse professional.
• Assist in dissemination of research and technological advancements that would enhance the delivery of health services as an integral component of a comprehensive school health program.
• Provide a forum for discussion of legislation, policy, and regulatory issues which affect school nursing practice.
• Support school nurses working in isolated educational settings with resources and information.
• Disseminate information about continuing education opportunities, grants, advanced practice, and professional organizations.
